Avanta Launches the SPARKS Race Day 2008 at VANILLA
Avanta launched SPARKS Race day 2008 at Vanilla, the new futuristic bar with an all-white interior and colour-changing lighting and crystal chandeliers in London on Wednesday 5th March.
The evening was great and we had an amazing turn-out supporting this very worthwhile charity.
Guests were treated to champagne and canapés followed by an auction which raised almost £8,000 so that means that we’re off to a great start to beat last year’s total of £30,000!
Among some of the fantastic items to go under the hammer was an exclusive Barbados Villa for 7 nights, Tickets to SPARKS fashion show and a four person office space at One Hammersmith Grove free for 12 months!
The Sparks Race Day, supported by AVANTA will be hosted at Kempton Park on September 22nd 2008 and will raise funds for pioneering research that has a practical, positive impact on the lives of babies and children.
A special thanks goes out to our SPARKS Celebrity Supporters who joined us, England Rugby legend Jason Leonard OBE and England and British Lions Star Tim Stimpson. SPARKS trustee, former President and England player, Coach and Manager Roger Uttley also joined us along with SPARKS Vice President and former Light Heavy Weight champion John Conteh who did a tremendous job as our auctioneer.
